Aaron's Rod, by Epiphaneia and the first foal of nine-time G1 winner Almond Eye, was spotted during track work on the 25th in preparation for his debut on August 11th in Niigata Race 5 (1600m turf).

At the Miho Training Center, he worked alongside his stablemate Romneya on the woodchip track, clocking 86.1 seconds for 6 furlongs, with a final 3 furlongs in 37.8 seconds and the last furlong in 11.6 seconds. Trainer Sakae Kunieda commented, "We didn't push too hard today. He is in good health, and we want to continue preparing him for his debut."
