Sent-off favourite, Croix du Nord rewarded favourite backers in the hands of Yuichi Kitamura in Saturday's G2 Tokyo Sports Hai Nisai Stakes at Tokyo Racecourse. Satono Shining finished second, 3/4 lengths behind the winner, and Red Kingly came home in third, one-and-a-half lengths behind Satono Shining. The winning time was 1:46.8.

Croix du Nord is a son of Kitasan Black out of Rising Cross, by Cape Cross. He remains unbeaten, having made a winning debut in a Newcomers at Tokyo in June and was won a graded stakes title at his first attempt.
