Liberty Island is expected to be the odds-on favourite in the G1 Shuka Sho, the final leg for the fillies' triple tiara. This article will guide you through the main contenders in the race.

Liberty Island

Liberty Island is no doubt the closest contender to the winner's circle ahead of the race, after winning the first two legs of the fillies' Triple Tiara. She won three G1s in a row starting from Hanshin Juvenile Fillies, an impressive debut at G1 level. She dominated both the Oka Sho and Japanese Oaks, and now aims to win the final leg of the Triple Tiara which would make her just the seventh filly to claim such an honour.

Masked Diva

Masked Diva qualified for this race later than other contenders but she is well prepared. She won the G2 Rose Stakes to open up the fall season, posting a JRA record time. This is her first time going up against Liberty Island and she is ready to show off her sharpness and speed in the Shuka Sho.

Harper

Harper has been a consistent performer at graded stakes level. She won the G3 Queen Cup and finished fourth in the G1 Oka Sho. She later finished second in the G1 Japanese Oaks and is ready to finally claim a big prize in the Shuka Sho.

Other runners include Moryana who won the Shuka Sho trial, Dura who won the G3 Queen Stakes, and Kona Coast who finished second in the G1 Oka Sho.
