Bellagio Opera emerged victorious in a photo finish to take home the G3 Challenge Cup at Hanshin Racecourse on Sunday. Boccherini made a late challenge and finished second, a nose behind the winner. Izu Jo no Kiseki came home in third, whilst pre-race favourite Gaia Force finished sixth. The winning time was 1:58.8.

Bellagio Opera is a son of Lord Kanaloa out of Air Routine, by Harbinger. This was his first run after finishing fourth in the G1 Japanese Derby, and a second graded stakes title.
