Christophe Lemaire claims his 1,900th win, becoming the fastest JRA jockey to reach the milestone

On August 18th at Niigata Racecourse, Christophe Lemaire secured victory in Race 2 aboard Silver Rain, marking his 1,900th career win in the Japan Racing Association. He becomes the 11th jockey in history, and the 5th active jockey, to reach this milestone. His career stats include 151 G1 victories and another 150 graded stakes wins.
Lemaire achieved this feat in his 8,690th race, surpassing Yutaka Take's record of 9,705 races, making it the fastest pace in history. Reflecting on his accomplishment, Lemaire said, "I'm very happy. Achieving 1,900 wins is incredible, I'm grateful to have come to Japan. I'm in great shape both mentally and physically, and I'm fortunate to ride many good horses. I'll continue to give my best in every race."
