Wilson Tesoro, who finished second in the Jpn 1 Teio Sho, completed his final domestic track work on the 28th in preparation for the G3 Korea Cup (September 8th, Seoul, 1800 meters on dirt). He breezed solo on the Miho Training Center's slope course, clocking a light 4F in 54.2 seconds, with the final splits of 38.9 seconds and 12.8 seconds.
Trainer Hitoshi Kotegawa expressed satisfaction, saying, "If we push him too hard, he might overextend, so we took it easy. He raced during the summer last year and is accustomed to the heat, so his conditioning has gone smoothly. After his experience racing in Dubai earlier this year, he's become more composed and mature." Wilson Tesoro is scheduled to depart for Korea on the 30th.
